Summary
| Description |
First visit to Blackpool North in many years to see the station with new platforms, overhead electrification and track layout. The line between here and Preston (including the branch to Blackpool South) was closed for several months in early 2018 to allow a majority of the work done on one block. This included re-signalling. Since May 2018, regular EMUs worked trains run through to Manchester and Liverpool as well as Virgin Trains class 390 Pendolino sets through to London Euston. Seen here on 15 November 2018 is class 319 EMU no. 319369 on 2P76, 09:45 Blackpool North to Preston. |
