Pictured is the RAF V Force.

An Avro Vulcan B1A (XA904), leads a Vickers Valiant (XD869) and a Handley Page Victor B1 (XA931) at altitude on 13 January 1958.

The Vulcan is in the combined colours of 83 Squadron and 230 Operational Conversion Unit, both based at Waddington, Lincolnshire. XD869 is from 214 Squadron based at Marham, Norfolk and XA931 is from 232 Operational Conversion Unit based at Gaydon, Warwickshire.

The white 'anti-flash' colours are typical of the early days of V-bomber operations.
