Shadegan (Persian: شادگان), also Romanized as Shādegān and Shādgān; formerly Fallehiyeh, Fallābīyeh, and Fallāḩīyeh (فلاحية),[3] is a city in the Central District of Shadegan County, Khuzestan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 48,642 in 8,600 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 52,786 people in 12,088 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 41,733 people in 11,404 households.[2]
