College career

As a freshman, Moxley was a starting forward at the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2019.[1] In her first two games, she scored two goals and was named Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Offensive Player of the Week.[5] She finished the season with five goals and a team-best eight assists and was named to the CAA All-Rookie team.[1] She played with Oak City United, an amateur Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) club based in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 2021.[6]

Moxley transferred to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a starting defender and midfielder from 2021 to 2023.[3] She recorded two assists in a 2–0 win over her former team, Wilmington, in August 2022.[3][7] In the 2022 ACC tournament, she scored the winning penalty kick in the semifinals and was named to the all-tournament team.[3][8] She assisted Julia Dorsey on a free kick for the game winner in the semifinals of the 2022 NCAA tournament.[9] She finished her career at North Carolina with 17 assists in three seasons.[3]
