From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Elias Peleti was the bishop of Périgueux from April 1268[1] until May 1279 and then Latin patriarch of Jerusalem until his death in the winter of 1287–1288.[2]

Elias was a Frenchman by birth. He brought large sums of money from Pope Honorius IV to the Holy Land. He had returned to Europe by 1286, when the archbishop of Tyre, Bonacursus de Gloire, crowned the new king, Henry II. He is attested in Rome in 1287.[2] During his time in Europe, he was represented in Acre by a vicar, Joseph of Chauncy.[3] He died at Rome.[2]
