Wilanów Estate

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wilanów Estate (Polish: Dobra wilanowskie) covers approximately the area of today's Warsaw district of Wilanów, as well as, among others, the village of Służew, the Chojnów estates south of Wilanów, and the Zastów key – the areas on the opposite, right bank of the Vistula.

In the interwar period, parcels were carried out on the estates of Służew, Służewiec, Paluch, Wawer and Anin. The Wawer forests were donated to the State Treasury, and the Kabacki Forest was sold to the capital city of Warsaw in 1938. The remains of the estate that had not been parceled out before World War II were nationalized under the decree on the implementation of the agrarian reform, and in 1945, the palace in Wilanów became a branch of the National Museum in Warsaw.

The historical name of the estates centered around the palace in Wilanów, including three estates: Willanów, Chojnów and Zastów.[1]
