Dhriti Saharan is an actress, singer, entrepreneur and philanthropist. She was born in Mumbai and graduated in Engineering from Pune. She then entered the Indian film industry.[1][unreliable source?][2] She is the daughter in law of Patlolla Manjusree Reddy, who is the Zilla Parishad (ZP) Chief of Sangareddy District.

Career

Saharan debuted in the Punjabi movie Pure Punjabi for which she was nominated Best Debut Actress at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards in 2013.[3] She appeared in the video for the hit song "Billo Thumka" from the film Pinky Moge Wali. Sadda Haq was her second film, for which she won Critics Choice Award for Best Actress at the 2014 PTC Punjabi Film Awards.[4] She appeared in Teri Meri Ek Jindari, directed by Partho Ghosh.[2][5][6][7][8] Saharan was the lead actress in the 2016 release, Vaapsi.

Saharan became an entrepreneur by cofounding Blue Butterfly Arts LLP with her husband Patlolla Jayanth Reddy. She created music label Soul Tunes.

Saharan contributes to her NGO, Mamatha India Foundation, which works for the betterment of children and women's welfare.
