Delavan Township is located in Tazewell County, Illinois. As of the 2010 census, its population was 2,061 and it contained 902 housing units.[2]

History

Delavan Township is named for Edward C. Delavan, a temperance advocate from Albany, New York.[3]

Geography

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 30.18 square miles (78.2 km2), of which 30.16 square miles (78.1 km2) (or 99.93%) is land and 0.02 square miles (0.052 km2) (or 0.07%) is water.[2]
