Connah's Quay Town FC[3] is a Welsh football team based in Connah's Quay, Flintshire, Wales. The team currently plays in the North East Wales Football League Premier Division, which is at the fourth tier of the Welsh football league system.

The current team was formed in 2020.

In their first season, Connah's Quay Town FC gained promotion to the North East Wales Premier Division by finishing as League Winners in the North-East Wales Championship Division.

The club joined the newly formed North East Wales Football League in 2020 as a Championship Division club. The Town have enjoyed several honours in their short existence, most coming as a result of the penalty saves or general heroics of Dan Cooper (commonly known by fans as ‘The Clacker’). Since the clacker is off sowing his seeds in Canada, Bobby (The Cat) Raggett is the new number 1. To date the club has won 4 trophies in 2 seasons. Other key players in the Towns success are: John (JP) Paul Leonard - Sir John to many, a leader, a legend, a veteran of the game. Ben (Yard Dog/Yardie) Howarth - Doggo will give 99% most of the time. Lee (Butters) Butterworth - The white Mo Farah is a constant 70/80%, but like a vampire lacks a decent cross. Ryan (Chew/Wasp) Hewitt - If he was as busy on the pitch as he is in the boozer he'd have gone pro. Kyle (Joe Ross) Reid - Was a pro until Grady got in his undies. Strikes a ball like Stan hit Ulrika. Lee (Reggie/Legohead) Reynolds - Football comes after Golf, holidays foreigner jobs and horses, but when he's there he wears his heart on his sleeve. Lee (Trigger) Jones - would get lost in a round room with a map. Lewis (Chin Strap) Hodson - just wants to be like Chew. Pascal Gomez - been making Butters's shanks look like prime Paul Scholes pings since joining. Faster than Usain Bolt and a man of few words. Town also have a solid team behind them on every match day to make sure the lads are ready to go. Led by Pep off wish, the gaffa is joined in the dug out by: Stephen (Hippo) Hopkins - apparently he used to play for Wrexham. Zion (Dave) Hopkins - the new guy bringing some professionalism to the preparations. Llewys (Derek) Benbow - water boy, physio (groins only) and all round right hand man. Just don't ask him for tape, water or medical help. Its sponsor is HeatCentric.[4]
