The College of Engineering & Management, Kolaghat was set up in September, 1998, under the aegis of 'Vidyasagar Society for Integrated Learning', Kolkata to provide opportunity for technical education to the budding talents of the region in particular, and to the country.^[1] Courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.^[2]

The College of Engineering & Management, Kolaghat is spread over 32 acres of land located at KTPP Township. The college offers full-time engineering programs leading to a four-year B.Tech. degree from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT).^[3]
