Hey it's me that guy who never left his hometown and is still trying to make it as a rapper also known as FrankJavCee and in this video tutorial I am going to teach you HOW TO CLOUD RAP First you become a CLOUD A cloud is simply a mass of water vapors. So be sure to head to your local VAPE shop in your custom green 1994 honda civic with huge spoilers... For those of you who don't know what CLOUD RAP is... Here let me google it for you. WOW! A wikipedia page, as we all know once, something has a WIKIPEDIA page it all goes down hill from here.... Let's see... Cloud rap (also known as trillwave) TRILLWAVE!? Fun fact, TRILL in music terms means rapid alternation between two adjacent notes, usually a semitone or tone apart... I usually sounds like this. Trill also means in URBAN terms: to be true to ones self and real with all Very much like the colloquialization of the word BASED created by LIL B, the based GOD HIMSELF, who is also a cloud rapper.... Where was I... Oh ya. CLOUD RAP is an experimental subgenre of hip hop music which distinguishing features include ethereal, dreamlike beats (which often use wordless vocal samples, wherein singers harmonize or hold long notes, to produce a majestic effect) and abstracted, sometimes deliberately absurd, lyrics. So that's all we need to know to create CLOUD RAP. LETS GET TO IT. In this video tutorial... I will be using LOGIC PRO X! HAHAHAHHAHHAHHOHOOHOHOHOHWEHHEHEH-EHE So here I am in FL STUDIO About to make some CLOUD RAP OH SWEET and already premade cloud rap instrumental plus rap combination you're probably curious as to what everything in here does so i am going to, go into detail and show everything so here's the channel rack, lets go to the first pattern the first pattern i have is this simple 1980's choir sound the reason I chose this 1980's choir sound is because I'm stuck in the 80s at the moment and it should sound something like this and there's a filter cut off on here to make it louder FUN FACT I don't have a MIDI controller so I did this all by hand Next we have this 3XOSC which is my favorite synth, which is just a DETUNED BASS, which should sound like this if you can't hear this bass it's most likely that you don't have a subwoofer or you have really shitty headphones next I chose some 808 kicks because those are cool and with this 808 kick i have it following the main chord progression with a little bit of reverb to give it that cloud feel next i have a reverberated 808 snare to give it that TRAP FEEL! YOu can't spell CLOUD RAP with out LOUD CRAP and 808's sound loud as CRAP! next is a weird bell i found from a vintage 80's synthesizer drum machine so it sounds really strange so what I did was I added some delay and reverb to it and I made a simple melody to go along to the song haunting next i added some toms to the bass to get some funk and flow with the bassline now you can't rap without one of these, and one of these is called a HIGH HAT so I made a simple high hat trap progression to go to the beat next I used that lil bell thing and I turned it into an arp so the arp should sound like this in the background the arp is to symbolize rain because I'm rapping about clouds next I found some rain falling samples on YouTube and I sampled it Added some delay and reverb to it to give off the riser flow now with everything together we should have a beat that sounds just like this and something like this but i'm not done here, to be a real cloud rapper you have to make a music video for you rap so here's the music video I directed and designed and starred and wrote and made all the music... I JUST DO EVERYTHING ON THIS CHANNEL! so I hope you enjoy Looks like it's gonna rain... I like this kinda weather. It makes me sleepy. I want hot chocolate. My rhythms immaculate I'm Flying high in the sky That shits miraculous Super Mario that cloud is CUMULUS I would know b'cuz I always google it Cumulonimbus nimbostratus I'm raining on these hoes Like I am a meteorologist I'm Nostradamus See the future Weather prediction says You're gonna get wetter Than Niagara falls You can lick my balls I'm just kidding I'm just rapping about nothing at all Unless you want to then that is your decision I should get back to clouds now that i have your attention clouds are just water droplets Sometimes they're water crystals it's all just vapor in the air Science is magical float on the atmosphere they rain and disappear exist on other planets and rain sulfuric acid CLOUDS Final Fantasy 7 and I'm on cloud 9 the silver shores that reach heaven is but a golden lie between a love that is pure selflessness ecstasy as we reach towards the cusp of near infinity it is inside of me it is inside of you harmony exists between that golden line of two sides of a coin a cup will overflow one remains empty balance exists WITHIN HARMONY Clouds THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING THIS VIDEO ALL THE WAY THROUGH if you wanna support my music career you can buy this track on BANDCAMP for 69cents if you wanna pay more it's cool I'm not offering any perks cause I'm still writing custom songs I need to write for everyone who bought a copy of my mixtape from me THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING MY VIDEOS

The production of cloud rap music has been described as "hazy", often including "ethereal vocal samples" and the "aesthetics of bedroom electronic producers".[10] In a 2010 article, Walker Chambliss presumed that the term was invented by music writer Noz while interviewing rapper Lil B, but the interview in question did not actually include the phrase.[4] Cloud rap artists have been noted to employ "chant-like" vocal samples, as to create a "surreal" effect.[11] According to Nico Amarca of Highsnobiety, the genre was initially defined by the use of "nonsensical catchphrases and Twitter baits", as to parody and embrace internet culture, from which it was created.[11] Amarca also believed Yung Lean to have changed cloud rap through his "melancholic, dreamy rapping".[11] According to FACT, the genre describes "pretty much any lo-fi, hazy rap that makes its way to the net".[4]

Producer Clams Casino has been credited as pioneering the cloud rap sound as early as 2010,[10] but the general sound predates to 2006, with Viper's first album, Hustlin' Thick. The genre garnered mainstream attention when rapper A$AP Rocky debuted in 2011.[11] Cloud rap has gotten popular on the "blogosphere", but its general interest has waned.[11] ASAP Rocky's Live. Love. A$AP and Long.Live.A$AP have been described as cloud rap.[11][example's importance?] Walker Chambliss, also known as Walkmasterflex, released 3 Years Ahead: The Cloud Rap Tape, which FACT described as defining for the genre.[4]
