Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) is a public technical college in Newark, Ohio, with extended campuses in Pataskala, Knox, and Coshocton. Founded in 1971, COTC shares a campus with Ohio State University at Newark and offers 31 associate degree programs and 12 certificate programs, including the Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.), Associate of Applied Business (A.A.B.), and Associate of Technical Studies (A.T.S.) degrees.

I'm Haley Elkins And this is my COTC During crime scene investigation You get to play the part Of a private detective You get to go into a crime scene Photograph all of the evidence Document it properly and send It up through your chain of command Which you would do in a Real life investigation So it's real world experience It's close to home It's affordable The teachers are approachable They're very personable The smaller class sizes make it Easier to ask questions and get Feedback on anything that You need in your classes I'm undecided at this point As to what I would Like to do with my future But I feel confident that the degrees That I'm getting are going to Propel me into the career path I choose There are so many options with This particular degree that opens up A lot of opportunities for law enforcement For just law in general for fire science For forensic science lab technicians There's such a wide variety That you can use it with
Campuses
Newark
Six buildings make up COTC's Newark campus. These include the 81,000-square-foot (7,500 m2) John and Christine Warner Library and Student Center, opened in August 2008, and the John Gilbert Reese Conference Center. The college's current enrollment on the Newark campus is approximately 2900.
Extended Campuses
COTC maintains campuses in Coshocton, Pataskala, Mount Vernon (Knox Campus) which, together, account for about one-third of the college's total enrollment.
