Can Yılmaz Uzun (born 11 November 2005) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for 1. FC Nürnberg.[2] Born in Germany, he plays for the Turkey national team.
Career
Uzun was called up to 1. FC Nürnberg II in April 2023,[2] where he scored a goal in four appearances in the Regionalliga Bayern,[3] and 1. FC Nürnberg in May 2023,[2] where he made three appearances in the 2. Bundesliga.[3] Uzun scored three goals in the first round of the 2023–24 DFB-Pokal, helping Nürnberg to a convincing 9–1 victory against fifth-tier club FC Oberneuland in the first round of the tournament.[4]
International career
Born in Germany, Uzun is of Turkish descent with roots in Rize. He is a youth international for Turkey, having played up to the Turkey U18s.[1] On 22 March 2024, he made a debut in the Turkey national team in a 0–1 friendly loss against Hungary.[5]
