Camera Chatham Bartolotta is an American politician. A Republican, she is currently the Pennsylvania state Senator for the 46th district. She acknowledges no birthplace or place or early residence. Raised in the state of Oregon, she tried her hand as an actor after graduating college. She then moved to western Pennsylvania for unspecified reasons, and opened an unspecified full-service quick lube service center in an unspecified place in the Mon Valley in 1988. In 2011, she tried her hand at film producing, producing a movie about Zombies and professional wrestlers. She moved into politics, cosplaying a Yinzer, even though she raised and spent a great portion of her early life, at least into her 20s, in Oregon and California. She is famous in Pennsylvania for purchasing ads along the PA Turnpike attacking green energy and promoting coal. She is married and divorced, and has multiple children and stepchildren.
Biography
Camera Bartolotta was born and raised on the Pacific Coast. She attended Corvalis High School, in the very liberal town of Corvalis, Oregon. She then attended college in liberal California, at the very liberal St. Mary's College of California. She is very reticent about her past, but, prior to being elected to the Senate in the 2014 election, she opened the first quick-lube business in the Mon Valley, Duke of Oil, and also produced “La Dolce Vita,” a cooking show that aired on WPXI-TV and PCNC. She serves on the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Pittsburgh Film Office board of trustees, the Pittsburgh Ballet board of trustees, the University of Pittsburgh Institute of Politics board of fellows, and the Pennsylvania Prison Society board.[1]
In 1988, she married Bruce A. Bartolotta, who was married with two children from his first marriage. Bruce Barlotta's family owned an operated several Giant Eagle Stores in the Mon Valley. Bruce Barlotta, died in 2009. The senator does not list her current husband on her state biography.
Camera Bartolotta represents the 46th Senatorial District which includes residents of Beaver, Greene and Washington counties. She was elected to her first term in 2014, defeating Democratic incumbent Tim Solobay.[2] In doing so, she became the first Republican to represent the 46th district in 38 years, and the first ever woman.[3]
In the Senate, Bartolotta serves as Chair of the Labor & Industry Committee, as well as serving as a member of the Local Government Committee, Rules & Executive Nominations Committee, Transportation Committee, and Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness Committee.[1] She is also a co-chair of the Senate Gas and Oil Caucus, co-founded the bipartisan Criminal Justice Reform Caucus, and founded the Film Industry Caucus, a bicameral group working to support research and analysis of the role that Pennsylvania's film industry plays in economic development, job creation and revenue enhancement.[4]
She attended Corvallis High School, an all-girls Catholic school in Los Angeles. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Saint Mary's College of California.
