Burnstad is an unincorporated community rural hamlet in Logan County, North Dakota, United States. There are only two farm homes there currently, no businesses or services.[1][2]

History

A post office was established at Burnstad in 1907, and remained in operation until 1979.[3] The community was named for C. P. Burnstad, a cattleman.[4] Little remains of the original community.[5]

Burnstad is the nearest populated place to the Robert Abell Round Barn, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.[6]
