The 2000 United States Senate election in Rhode Island was held November 7, 2000. Incumbent Republican U.S. Senator Lincoln Chafee was elected his first full term after being appointed in 1999 to fill the seat of his father John Chafee who died on October 24, 1999. As of 2019, this is the last congressional election in Rhode Island won by a Republican.
