The 1964 United States presidential election in Illinois took place on November 3, 1964, as part of the 1964 United States presidential election. Illinois voters chose twenty-six[2] representatives, or electors, to the Electoral College, who voted for president and vice president.

Illinois was won by incumbent President Lyndon B. Johnson (DTexas), with 59.47% of the popular vote, against Senator Barry Goldwater (RArizona), with 40.53% of the popular vote.[3][4] As of the 2016 presidential election, this is the last election in which Adams County, Morgan County, Effingham County, Logan County, Wayne County, DeWitt County, Menard County, Wabash County, and Scott County voted for a Democratic Presidential candidate. This would be the last time until 1992 that Illinois would go for a Democrat in a presidential election.
