Ziar (Persian: زيار)[a] is a city in the Central District of Isfahan County, Isfahan province, Iran, serving as the administrative center for Baraan-e Jonubi Rural District.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 3,520 in 927 households, when it was a village in Baraan-e Jonubi Rural District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 3,593 people in 1,062 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,918 people in 1,209 households, by which time the village had been elevated to the status of a city.[2]
