The Union for Democracy and Social Progress (French: Union pour la Démocratie et le Progrès Social; UDPS) is one of the major contemporary political parties in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) together with the Movement for the Liberation of the Congo.^[1] The party has the longest record of continuous operation in the DRC.

The UDPS boycotted the 2006 general election results, complaining of fraud.^{[citation needed]} Étienne Tshisekedi, the then-leader of the party, ran for president in the 2011 general election.^[2]

The incumbent party leader is Félix Tshisekedi, son of Étienne, and President of the DRC as of 2023. Various members of the party, including Étienne Tshisekedi, have also served as Prime Minister.^[3]

In December 2023, President Tshisekedi was re-elected and the UDPS won the majority of seats in general elections, winning 69 seats in the 500-member National Assembly ahead of 44 other parties.^[4]
