Shusef (Persian: شوسف)[a] is a city in, and the capital of, Shusef District of Nehbandan County, South Khorasan province, Iran.[4] It also serves as the administrative center for Shusef Rural District.[5]

At the 2006 census, its population was 2,338 in 572 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 3,010 people in 808 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,181 people in 879 households.[2]
