Galikash (Persian: گاليكش)[a] is a city in the Central District of Galikash County, Golestan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 20,009 in 4,829 households, when it was in the former Galikash District of Minudasht County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 20,831 people in 5,768 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Galikash County.[4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 23,394 people in 6,996 households.[2]
