What we do. Every page goes through several hundred of perfecting techniques; in live mode. Quite the same Wikipedia. Just better.
This sport map image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.
It is recommended to name the SVG file “Olympic boycotts 1976 1980 1984.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.

The source for the 1980 info was Time Magazine Archives, available online from 1980 and the list en:1980 Summer Olympics boycott. Data on countries that boycotted the 1980 games is incomplete: about 10 countries more than shown here also boycotted the games. Cuba and North Korea boycotted the 1988 games in Seoul.
