Français : un non-juif s'est rendu chez Hillel et lui a dit qu'il était prêt à se convertir au Judaïsme "s’il lui enseignait toute la Torah le temps de se tenir sur une jambe". Le grand Sage Hillel accepta et lui répondit : « "Ce que tu n’aimes pas que l'on te fasse, ne le fais pas à ton prochain", ce principe résume toute la Torah, tout le reste n'en étant que développement. »
