From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Original file(753 × 777 pixels, file size: 176 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

Summary

Description
A selection of gem pebbles made by tumbling rough stones with abrasive in a rotating drum.

The picture was made without use of a camera, simply by arranging the pebbles on the glass of my flat bed scanner.
Photographed by Adrian Pingstone in February 2003 and released to the public domain.

Note that the label "Lace Agate" should have been "Blue Lace Agate" (Adrian Pingstone's mistake).

An unlabelled version exists (for labeling in other languages): Gem.pebbles.800pix.jpg.
