File:Confederation Centre of the Arts.jpg

Summary

Description Built between 1960-64, the Confederation Centre of the Arts is an arts centre containing a theatre, an art gallery, and a library. Although the Confederation Centre of the Arts was built as a national memorial to the Fathers of Confederation who met at the Charlottetown Conference, the Centre is not itself dedicated to the Conference or to Confederation in general. Instead, the art gallery has a permanent collection of Canadian art and also has exhibit space for traveling shows, while the theatre hosts traveling Broadway musicals and the annual "Anne of Green Gables - The Musical."
