Comment:' This image is probable OK to go on Wikicommons as there is no German registration number present on either the front or the reveres, therefore it will not have been eligible for the European copyright extension of 70 years (for this version of the image at least) and so is now out of copyright in Europe.

Comment: As this was shot and distributed for publicity reasons, the photographer at that time, under UK copyright law, would not have held the copyright himself. Instead it would have been owned by his contractual agent (on the shorter copyright term). So, this image is well out of copyright. Also, as this was a His Majesty's Theatre production, there is no reason to suppose that they would ever go to the trouble and extra cost of registering it in Germany. Therefore, I think it a low risk and prime candidate for uploading to Wikicommons. --Aspro (talk) 16:04, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
