The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita Bill, 2023 is bill of Parliament of India. The bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha on 11 August 2023 to repeal and replace Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) and the Indian Evidence Act.[1][2][3]

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the three bills will be sent to a parliamentary panel for further scrutiny.

Introduction

On 11 August 2023, the Home Minister of India, Amit Shah, Introduced the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in Lok Sabha his bill is considered to be a significant and monumental reform in the Indian Criminal Justice System.[4][5][6]
