Balvard (Persian: بلورد)[a] is a city in, and the capital of, Balvard District of Sirjan County, Kerman province, Iran.[4] It also serves as the administrative center for Balvard Rural District.[5]

At the 2006 census, its population was 3,173 in 692 households, when it was a village in Balvard Rural District of the Central District.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 3,488 people in 922 households,[7] by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of Balvard District.[4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,534 people in 1,109 households,[2] when the village had been elevated to the status of a city.[8]
