This just doesn't seem like an inner city urban school. There were students who were attentive, they were taking notes, the teacher was really engaging them, they were responding. They were clearly really interested in the material. I think the relationship is close because we spend so much time with our students that we really get to know each person's individual personality, what their strengths are as a student, what their weaknesses are, their senses of humor, and I think that rapport is one of the best things about working here. That you get to know each student individually. We consider ourselves to be a college-prep school. Even though we're a public charter school, our goal is to prepare our students for college. So, all of them come with the idea that they're going to go to college. One of the graduation requirements is that our students get a letter of acceptance. So, it's prepared me for life, future life in college, and I'm going to college! Yay! I want to be a physicist, so I want to work on helping to create renewable energy. They set a standard. They give you restrictions, and here you have to work hard. And that's what I learned to do. I learned how to work hard. Hey! Okay, congratulations Kai Tung! He just got accepted! Yay!
