• February 12 – An Experiment In Modern Music concert at Aeolian Hall (Manhattan) – première of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.
• February 15 – The inaugural concert of microtonal music in Mexico City by the Grupo Sonido 13, directed by Julián Carrillo, including the premiere of Preludio a Colón and four other of Carrillo's compositions, along with several works by his students, Rafael Adame [es], Elvira Larios, and Soledad Padilla.
