Description
"Color print on paper showing a bird's-eye view of Columbus from the area of Capital University, ca. 1861. The title at bottom reads "View of Columbus O. from Capitol University." The unfinished Ohio Statehouse can be seen, along with Capital University, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Starling Medical College, the Franklin County courthouse, Neil House, Ohio Tool Company and the Ohio Penitentiary. Notable locations correspond to numbers included below the print, and a key is included at the bottom. The print was done by E. Sachse & Co. and published by J. T. Palmatary."
