Description

The Carolino Aqueduct and the Bridges of the Maddaloni Valley were built not only to feed the numerous fountains and falls of the Royal Palace of Caserta but most of all to guarantee the new Capital’s water supply and to provide the essential motivity for the silk factories in the near San Leucio .

Vanvitelli’s Masterpiece was commissioned in the March 1753 by king Charles III of the Bourbon dynasty to create the extraordinary jet fountains in the gardens of the Royal Palace of Caserta (Italy).
